За шесть лет плодотворной работы Daedelus снискал славу увлеченного экспериментатора, невероятного меломана и сумасшедшего коллекционера. В его подвале более 10 000 пластинок: от саундтреков к фильмам 30-х годов, классического хип-хопа и раннего рэйва начала 90-х - до батукады времен повстанческого движения в Бразилии.
Альфред в восторге от всего, что звучит или выглядит недоработанным, попорченным или состарившимся. И это отражается в его внешнем облике. Daedelus любит одеваться в стиле биржевых брокеров конца XIX века, и время от времени отпускает пышные бакенбарды. Но что касается технологии создания музыки - здесь Альфред «впереди планеты всей». Загадочная «коробка», с которой Daedelus появляется на всех своих лайв-сетах, уже достаточно нашумела в среде музыкального андеграунда - такого инструмента нет больше ни у кого. Он сотрудничал с культовыми лейблами Plug Research, Ninja Tune, Mush, Laboratory Instinct, Big Dada, Distill, Bit Of Heaven, Temporary Whatever, Stones Throw и Warp. С ним охотно записывались Madlib, Scott Herren (aka Prefuse 73), MF Doom, Four Tet и многие другие. "Working from a studio in Santa Monica, California. A young Daedelus began noodling bass clarinet notes, and soon graduated into the covenant of double-bass. After an ill-fated affair pondering classical and jazz, rave paved the way, and a burgeoning record collection fueled Daedelus’ artistic creativity, preparing the path to his first full length release, Invention. Inspired by ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘70s grooves, and defying genres such as downtempo and hip-hop, Daedelus gradually begins to venture into the L.A. afterdark.
The music on Invention combines multiple instruments, including non-traditional ones such as computer printers, toy pianos, and among other bent and mis-used, the Omnichord. Daedelus invites local MC talents Busdriver and Sach to flow over the masterful bonus versions of “Quiet Now” and “Pursed Lips Reply.” Invention unfolds in dynamic ranges of emotion."

Plimbarea prin labelul descris mai jos a mai adus o surpriza placuta: albumul aparut in decembrie a celor de la Solar Fields. :)
"Origin # 01, is the first chapter in a series of four albums which aim to present Solar Fields' music under a new light. The artist dived into his studio archives and discovered unreleased little gems. A simple idea came along to share with fans and followers this incursion into the life of a contemporary composer.
The tracks on Origin # 01 were created over the course of the last ten years.
At times we'll be tempted to give a date to the music composition because there's a specific feel to it which reminds us of a moment or of an album; at others we're thrown in the pure flow of inspiration and that is timeless.
Magnus Birgersson opens up the audio spectrum and spices up his music with guitars, bass, drums, balalaika, sitar; once again reminding us what a talented multi-instrumentalist he truly is.
Origin # 01, a multi-coloured archive made of ten genuine and intense songs.
