Wagon Christ - Toomorrow (2011)

"Proiectul lui Luke Vibert, producator prolific pe scena electronica si degraba schimbatoriu de pseudonime. Un album foarte distractiv, un pic trippy-hippy/hop, built from scratching and sampling. De fapt, cred ca sufera de un pic de sampling overkill, de unde senzatia permanenta de colaj, de chestie fragmentara. E foarte bine facut, cat de mult o sa va placa depinde de gust/dispozitie."(c)

"2010 was an unprecedented lull in Luke Vibert releases. The UK producer also known as Wagon Christ, Amen Andrews, Plug, Spac Hand Luke, and more has released music every single year since 1993, the only exceptions being a brief pause in 1999, and the 2010 drought that just ended today with the release of the new Wagon Christ album Toomorrow.

Ninja Tune recently posted a fifteen minute minimix to give us a sampling of what Toomorrow holds. Looks like it’s going to be another playful romp in the sunny fields of psychedelia and hip hop.

Once again, the Wagon proves he is not subject to following the latest beat trends of the UK and the world. Beats of all shades are used to funkify carnival music and sci-fi melodies the shift between degrees of sentimentally and unbridled joy.

Hear the minimix below and just try and stop yourself from smiling."
